Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals she’s strugged with ‘sexless’ past relationships – and why they failed

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has confessed to having led ‘sexless’ relationships.

50-year-old KIIS FM radio personality admitted to having low sexual desire with previous partners, discussing this issue during her recent interview on the Her Best Life podcast.

During our heart-to-heart conversation, she shared that in all her relationships, there has been an evolution towards a close, sibling-like bond with those she’s close to, as she put it.

Jackie explained that initially, she was comfortable with the absence of sexual activity in her relationships since she also didn’t crave emotional closeness or intimacy.

She shared with her best friend Gemma that she had been quite preoccupied, feeling drained, and dealing with numerous responsibilities, which unfortunately resulted in a lower libido for the moment.

Jackie didn’t mention specific individuals during her conversation, but she has publicly spoken about the difficulties faced in her 18-year marriage with Lee Henderson in the past.

She went on, clarifying that what she thought were romantic relationships ended up being more akin to living arrangements with ‘flatmates.’

In her relationship, she mentioned that he’d spend his evenings watching TV in one room, while she would do the same but on her computer in another room. They weren’t engaging in conversations or spending quality time together on the couch.

‘Something like that is quite simple but it does make you feel more connected to your partner.’

In a heartfelt confession, Jackie expressed her regret about not maintaining the closeness and finding the time for one another.

The lack of intimacy led to Jackie feeling ‘undesirable’ making the partnership ‘unfixable’.

Jackie mentioned that her situation wasn’t unusual, as she found out that several of her friends had also gone through something quite similar.

As I conversed with more women, it became increasingly apparent that this issue is quite prevalent in many marriages. It seems as though the intimacy has simply vanished for some couples.

Meanwhile, Jackie admitted to feeling ‘happy and content’ in her life right now.   

It comes after Jackie admitted she is struggling to let go of an ex.

She discussed moving on while appearing on a recent episode of the Her Best Life podcast.

The radio queen told co-host Gemma that she was dealing with heartbreak.

Even though Jackie has moved past the relationship, she occasionally reflects in vulnerable instances, “That one was my match.

Jackie expressed her desire to fully detach from the man, yet confessed that she is uncertain about how to do so. However, she conceded that he had not been present for her.

Jackie never disclosed who the man was and has been private about her dating life.

Previously, she had been romantically associated with Jack Tyerman, a man who once held the title of ‘toyboy’. Since then, he’s made it public that he is now engaged to another individual.

She also spoke about the relationship in August 2023.

Jackie acknowledged that they were seeing each other, but she emphasized that their relationship was purely platonic.

‘No, Jack is not my boyfriend. We’re not in a relationship, not my boy toy,’ Jackie told Kyle.

Jack is one of my close friends, and I came to know him through our mutual friend. We weren’t acquainted through a dating platform or any similar circumstances.

The public figure later admitted that the dating speculations were her fault, as she had disclosed during an interview at the Logies that she was in a relationship and shared this information with Daily Mail Australia.

She admitted that although she has gone out with someone a couple of times, in her thoughts she considers herself as being in a relationship. However, instead of explicitly stating this, she could have more accurately replied, “Perhaps, let’s wait and see how things develop.

In the year 2018, Jackie and her former spouse, Lee Henderson, ended their marriage. They are parents to a 14-year-old girl named Kitty.
