Despite her visual impairment, Koharu is full of life and encourages Kakeru to see the world differently. She has a surprising dream of creating fireworks, and Kakeru is determined to help her fulfill it. Their journey is marked by a special connection and the obstacles they face together, ultimately changing both of their lives.

Koharu’s situation strongly resembles that of Shoko in A Silent Voice. Both characters refuse to let their disabilities limit them, choosing instead to live positive and fulfilling lives. Like Shoko, Koharu’s experiences also have a powerful impact on the male lead, encouraging his personal growth and changing his perspective. This connection beautifully illustrates that even through hardship, there’s always hope and something to be optimistic about.

With a touching story, Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky looks set to become one of the most feel-good anime series this season.
