Fans are getting a nostalgic treat with the reveal of a brand-new Gohan figure! Tamashii Nations’ S.H. Figuarts line is releasing a figure called Z Fighter Gohan (Type A), depicting the character in his base form as he appeared during the Android Saga.
The official Dragon Ball website announced a new figure featuring completely updated sculpting and improved articulation. It includes the line’s signature Dynamic-Movable Shoulder System, letting collectors pose the figure in a variety of action-packed stances and recreate iconic looks.

This 105mm figure is made of durable PVC and ABS plastic. It includes the figure itself, three sets of interchangeable hands, three different facial expressions, and an alternate hair piece. As a special bonus, the first production run of this limited-edition figure also comes with a Z Fighter Type-A Display Base.
You can now pre-order the Gohan (Type A) action figure in Japan, with the official release scheduled for November. It costs 7,700 yen, which is about $49. While there’s no confirmed U.S. release date yet, it will be available internationally soon, similar to other figures. The official website also suggests that Type B and Type C versions of the figure will be released later on.
Gohan first appeared on Japanese television in 1992 and then on American screens in 2000. After Future Trunks warned them about powerful enemies coming, Gohan trained hard with Goku and Piccolo for three years. However, when fighting Androids 17 and 18, Goku kept Gohan on Kami’s Lookout, believing the battle was too dangerous for him.
Feeling helpless after his defeat, Gohan trained intensely in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. This allowed him to unlock his Super Saiyan power, a moment many fans still see as the peak of his development as a character.
I remember when Tamashii Nations first started their S.H. Figuarts line back in 2009 with a Piccolo figure. It quickly became known as one of the best ways to collect high-quality action figures from the Dragon Ball series.
This figure features highly detailed, poseable parts, like double-jointed arms and a twisting waist, allowing for dynamic action poses and recreating signature energy attacks with ease.
The popular S.H. Figuarts series recently reached a big achievement with the release of its 200th collectible figure. This new figure features Goku, based on a special illustration created for the Slogan Grand Prix, and is scheduled to be available in stores in October 2026.
