The Power universe lives on.
As reported by Deadline, Michael Rainey Jr. and Joseph Sikora are returning as their characters Tariq St. Patrick and Tommy Egan in a new show called Power: Legacy.
Following the conclusion of Power Book IV: Force, where Tommy and Tariq teamed up to take down Jenard’s group and Tommy rose to power as the leading drug dealer in Chicago, the story continues.
I’m so excited for Tommy! It looks like he’s heading back to New York City, and after hearing him accept Tariq’s proposition to really make a splash there, I think big things are about to happen. He’s ready to take the city by storm, and I can’t wait to see what he does!
I’m really excited to hear that Gary Lennon, the creative force behind Power Book IV: Force, is coming back as showrunner and executive producer! And of course, having 50 Cent involved as an executive producer is fantastic news – he always brings so much to the show.
“Power never dies, and this chapter is our biggest yet,” Jackson teased.
Viewers have been eager to see Tariq and Tommy team up, and now they’re doing just that in New York City. Reuniting actors Joseph Sikora and Michael Rainey Jr. is a real treat – they’ve made their characters unforgettable parts of the ‘Power’ story.
Lennon hinted at an exciting new development, questioning whether these two rivals can coexist while competing for influence and control – a pursuit he described as addictive.
This new series is the sixth installment in the ‘Power’ universe, joining previous shows like ‘Power,’ ‘Power Book II: Ghost,’ ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan,’ ‘Power Book IV: Force,’ and the upcoming ‘Power: Origins’.

Meanwhile, Raising Kanan returns for its fifth and final season on 12 June.
Following four seasons filled with striving for power, deception, and difficult truths about his mother, Raq, Kanan has at last accepted himself and escaped her control, according to an official description of the show.
By the fifth and final season, he’s fully embraced a ruthless side, gearing up for a showdown with Raq and solidifying his power within the drug world of Queens, working closely with Breeze.
With growing conflicts and weakening empires, Kanan’s ambition is driving the story forward.
Power: Origins is also currently shooting in New York.
Following the conclusion of ‘Raising Kanan,’ the new series will continue Kanan’s story with Mekai Curtis returning to the role. It will also introduce young versions of James “Ghost” St. Patrick, played by Spence Moore II, and Tommy Egan, played by Charlie Mann.
According to Starz, the new Power spin-off (as reported by The Hollywood Reporter) will be a lively and energetic look at an earlier era within the Power universe. It will focus on the bold and ambitious journeys of young men striving for success and recognition.
