Capcom has had a successful year, with both Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata performing well after their releases. Fans also have the upcoming game Onimusha: Way of the Sword to anticipate in September.
The studio isn’t stopping its success and plans to release several new, unannounced games before the end of March 2027, which marks the end of their financial year. We’re not sure what these games will be, but we believe a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica is now highly likely.
Bringing Claire Redfield back to the setting of the original Resident Evil 2 would be a smart move for Capcom, especially since she hasn’t appeared in recent games. It’s also a good candidate for a remake, given its place in the series’ story. Early reports suggest Albert Wesker will have a more significant part this time around, and Claire will be the main playable character.
The remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica is rumored to be released in 2027, which would fit with Capcom’s business schedule. We’ll keep you updated with any official news.
