Stellar Blade: Blood Rain announced, sequel introduces Evie as new protagonist

At Summer Game Fest 2026, Shift Up revealed Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, the newest installment in their popular action-adventure series. This game continues the story beyond the original, and features a new main character.

As a huge fan, I was so excited to see the reveal! It definitely seems like Eve’s story isn’t finished, but now we’re going to be playing as Evie, and she’s stepping into a brand new conflict. The trailer was about three minutes long, and honestly, the game looks amazing! They’ve clearly worked on making the world feel much more immersive – it was all rainy and atmospheric, and we got a good look at some of the combat with different enemies.

Shift Up hasn’t explained exactly how the stories of the two characters will link up, but the new game seems ready to delve deeper into the post-apocalyptic setting that made the first game so popular.

The original Stellar Blade was a hit, celebrated for its exciting battles, impressive boss fights, and beautiful futuristic world. It quickly became one of PlayStation’s biggest new action game series. Now, anticipation is building for Blood Rain, as players are eager to see how the developers will build on the original game with a new main character.

Okay, so the studio hasn’t said where Blood Rain will be available yet, but I’m seeing listings pop up everywhere, and it’s really making me think they’re planning to release it on a lot more platforms than we originally thought! I’m getting my hopes up!
