Timothée Chalamet Proves He’s Feeling “Wear and Tear” of NBA Finals

Timothée Chalamet revealed that passionately supporting the New York Knicks has actually left him physically exhausted. He’s now focusing on recovery so he can continue cheering them on during the 2026 playoffs.

Okay, so I was at the Knicks game last week – what an amazing start to the NBA finals! But let me tell you, being a dedicated fan and jumping up and down with the energy of the crowd definitely took a toll. I shared a little peek on my Instagram Stories – a photo of me icing my knees while relaxing in Texas. Definitely feeling it the next day, but totally worth it!

Timothée pointed out that people often don’t realize how physically draining it is to be a dedicated fan during the playoffs, especially while wearing a Knicks royal blue t-shirt in a recent photo.

The Oscar nominee stressed the importance of self-care, adding a massage and laughing emoji to their message.

And Timothée’s strong dedication to the basketball team did not go unnoticed by the Knicks. 

The NBA team posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) on June 4th of the Call Me By Your Name actor icing his knees, with the message, “Rest up, Knicks fans. We’re back at it tomorrow.”

Timothée Chalamet recently received a shout-out from the team on social media, but he’s also been getting attention for enthusiastically attending Knicks games. He’s become a regular at the games, often seen with other celebrities, and has even turned his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, into a basketball fan.

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve noticed this couple has become quite the fixture at Knicks games – always looking so happy together! They recently showed their excitement for the team making it to the NBA Finals with a really sweet kiss, and it was a lovely moment to see.

Kylie visited Timothée in Budapest in August 2025 while he was filming Dune: Part Three. They took pictures with fans while enjoying coffee at a local shop.

The couple coordinated their outfits in orange for the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme. Their look, featuring Chrome Hearts designs, was so memorable that Hacks actors Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs recreated it at the Critics Choice Awards in January 2026.

Okay, so everyone online lost it at the 2026 Golden Globes when a picture of Kylie Jenner’s name tag supposedly reading ‘Kylie Jenner Chalamet’ started circulating. Honestly, I was buzzing too! But thankfully, TopMob News, who had someone inside the Beverly Hilton, confirmed the actual name cards looked totally different – the font didn’t match the one in the viral photo. It was a relief to know it wasn’t real, even though a girl can dream, right?

Despite everything, it was a special night for the couple. Timothée publicly acknowledged his girlfriend when he accepted the award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film for his role in Marty Supreme.

The couple traveled to London for the 2026 British Academy Film and Television Arts Awards, where Timothée was up for the Leading Actor award.
