Although the Chainsaw Man manga finished earlier this year, the anime is set to announce its future plans soon. Last year, the anime continued with a new adaptation of the Reze Arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga, and it was very popular. Because of this success, the anime has been renewed for another season, which will cover the next major storyline: the Assassins Arc.
The next part of the Chainsaw Man anime, focusing on the Assassins Arc, is coming soon, but details have been scarce. Luckily, MAPPA announced a big event in Japan on June 19th where they’ll share updates on Chainsaw Man, as well as news about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, Attack on Titan, and other projects.
Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc to Get New Update June 2026
MAPPA will be revealing updates on several upcoming anime projects, including the next part of Chainsaw Man – the Assassins Arc – at a special event in Japan on June 19th, celebrating the studio’s 15th anniversary. The event will also share news about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, Attack on Titan, Dorohedoro Season 3, and other future projects. However, fans are particularly eager to learn what’s next for Chainsaw Man, as the format of its continuation is still unknown.
Studio MAPPA announced they were working on Chainsaw Man – Assassins Arc late last year, but haven’t shared many details since. We still don’t know who will be working on the project, or if the original voice actors will return. Currently, it’s unclear what form the new project will take – it could be another TV season, a movie, or even a series of OVAs.
What to Know for Chainsaw Man – Assassins Arc Anime
The announcement of an anime adaptation for the Assassins Arc of Chainsaw Man is significant, especially since the original manga isn’t currently being updated with new content. This arc follows directly after the events of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and is relatively short, spanning only 18 chapters. Given that the Bomb Devil arc was also around this length, many believe this new arc could be adapted into another full-length movie.
The Assassins arc focuses on Denji being hunted by a group of bizarre assassins, each with unique powers who challenge Chainsaw Man in different ways. It’s known for some of the most memorable scenes in the original manga, and really elevates the series.
