Supermassive Games revealed a new downloadable content (DLC) pack for Little Nightmares 3 at the Future Games Show: Summer Showcase 2026. They shared a trailer giving players their first glimpse of the DLC, called The Backstage. You can watch the trailer below.
If you enjoy Little Nightmares 3, you’ll likely appreciate The Backstage as well. It continues the series’ tradition of creating a consistently unsettling and creepy experience. The game appears to follow a new character who must cleverly use light to stay alive while being pursued by frightening enemies.
One of the scariest moments in the trailer for The Backstage shows the player trying to sneak through an enormous kitchen while a large woman cooks. If she spots the player, they have to quickly stun her with a bright flash and escape.
As a big fan of Little Nightmares, I’m really curious about The Backstage. Because it doesn’t have any dialogue or narration, it’s hard to say if it will connect to the story we already know, or if it’s going to be a completely fresh tale. I’m hoping for connections, but I’m also excited to see something totally new!
On June 12th, Little Nightmares 3: The Backstage will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch (including the new Nintendo Switch 2). This downloadable content is part of the Little Nightmares 3: Secrets of the Spiral expansion pass. It’s the first of two planned “Additional Chapters” for the pass, with the second chapter expected to launch between October and December 2026.
