Sony’s latest State of Play presentation was a huge success, attracting significantly more viewers than previous events.
The recent event was a huge success, attracting 3,031,634 live viewers – a significant increase compared to the 2,257,117 viewers last year. While the February 2026 event remains the third most popular with 2,204,604 viewers, this latest show saw a substantial jump in numbers. Beyond the impressive viewership, the event also featured a fantastic lineup of games.
The event was broadcast on over 4,700 different channels, including many popular streaming platforms. A record-breaking 2.4 million people tuned in to watch live, and the total viewing time reached an impressive 4.4 million hours, meaning people continued watching replays and highlights even after the initial broadcast.
I totally get why PlayStation is doing so well right now! Seeing the brutal and awesome gameplay from Marvel’s Wolverine really made me think the wait for that game will be worth it. And that God of War Laufey gameplay reveal? It’s already gotten over five million views, even though some people aren’t sure about it. Honestly, PlayStation is just on a roll!
