The Sinking City 2 Launches on August 18th, Steam Demo Now Available

Frogwares recently showed off a new trailer for The Sinking City 2, their upcoming Lovecraftian mystery game, at the Future Games Show. You can try a free demo of the game on PC through Steam right now, and the full game will be released on August 18th for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Okay, the new trailer is seriously creepy! It gives you a real taste of the horrors Calvin Rafferty is going to face in 1920s Arkham. We already knew about the Slither – those things are terrifying, reanimating bodies and trying to… well, let’s just say ‘convert’ you in a really awful way. But the trailer showed off some Deep Ones too, and they look like a much bigger threat. And then there are these things called Shadows… honestly, they’re so weird and unsettling, it’s hard to even describe them! I’m genuinely scared to find out what they are.

This game is a true survival horror experience, much different from the first one. You’ll need to carefully manage your resources, use your surroundings to your advantage, and sometimes just run to survive. While Calvin will still investigate mysteries, keeping track of clues in your journal will unlock helpful upgrades and even new areas to explore.
