Though details surfaced a bit early, Cassette Beasts 2002 – the follow-up to the popular creature-collecting game – still looks promising. The new installment is heading to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, and takes place in London in 2002, where players will track down a mysterious occultist.
The character struggles to fit into either the human world or the world of beasts, and the game lets players move between them. It brings back many features from the first game, like capturing and combining beasts to create stronger versions.
Okay, so I’ve been checking out Cassette Beasts 2002, and it looks seriously awesome! They’ve packed in over 250 different creatures, and it’s got full online play now. Plus, the whole game is in 3D, which is a huge step up from the first one. We’re still waiting on a release date, but if you haven’t played the original Cassette Beasts, now’s the perfect time to jump in!
Selling over 1.1 million copies and receiving rave reviews, Cassette Beasts is a top pick in its genre. Right now, you can get the main game on Steam for 65% off until June 21st, and the Pier of the Unknown DLC is 60% off too.
