One Day the Musical is transferring to the West End starring Jamie Muscato and Sharon Rose

Just when you thought the emotional rollercoaster of Emma and Dexter’s love story was over, think again! The popular musical One Day is moving to London’s West End.

This new musical comes from the creators of the popular Netflix series, and it’s inspired by the bestselling novel by David Nicholls. The music is written by David Greig alongside Abner and Amanda Ramirez.

The popular musical, One Day, first launched at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh and received wonderful reviews. Soon, audiences in London will have a chance to experience the story of Em and Dex when it comes to the Garrick Theatre later this year.

Jamie Muscato will be returning to the stage in this production, playing the character Dex. He’s already well-known for his performances in popular musicals like The Great Gatsby, Cabaret, and Moulin Rouge, and is quickly becoming one of Britain’s leading musical theatre stars.

Sharon Rose, known for her performances in the productions Sylvia and Hamilton, will be playing the character of Em. She’s also appeared in the BBC’s Silent Witness and the film Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey.

One Day tells the story of Em and Dex, two friends with a potential romantic connection, and follows their lives on the same date each year for two decades.

Melting Pot will produce the West End production of One Day the Musical. Producers Simon Friend and Hanna Osmolska shared that they were immediately struck by the show’s powerful emotional impact.

Featuring a talented creative team, a moving musical score that captures the emotional highs and lows of Emma and Dexter’s story, and starring Jamie Muscato and Sharon Rose as the leads, One Day The Musical is set to be an unforgettable experience.
