With its blockbuster success earning over $1 billion upon release, Zootopia (known as Zootropolis in other regions) is now eagerly awaited for its sequel. The trailer for Zootopia 2 has been released, showcasing both new and familiar characters. This reunion of rookie cops Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, and Nick Wilde, voiced by Jason Bateman, is further intriguing as it hints at a partnership with the enigmatic pit viper, Gary De’Snake, played by Ke Huy Quan.

In the city of Zootropolis, Judy and Nick stumble upon a massive puzzle when Gary De’Snake makes an appearance, causing chaos throughout the animal metropolis. To solve this enigma, they are forced to infiltrate unanticipated districts of the city, pushing their blossoming alliance to its limits like never before.

As per Disney Animation’s chief creative officer and director Jared Bush, who was also the scriptwriter, fans can expect an extensive exploration of Zootropolis in the upcoming sequel. Bush expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to invite everyone back to the bustling, diverse city of Zootropolis, taking audiences on a side-splitting adventure through previously unexplored areas.” The story will delve into various environments such as marshlands inhabited by semi-aquatic creatures, vast deserts, and unknown secrets. Judy and Nick, our main characters, will encounter numerous new friends, uncover more about the world, themselves, and a fresh addition to the city – a new snake character.

Director Byron Howard noted that the trailer includes the hit tune ‘ZUTU’ by the renowned lemming techno group LEMEEENS. Having recently toured with music sensation Gazelle, bandmates Hans-Peter, Gūnther, Spielt, and their DJ, Spaß, crafted this song to celebrate the moment and greet everyone returning to Zootropolis!

In the sequel to the Academy Award-winning film, “Zootropolis 2“, is brought to you by the same talented trio – directors Jared Bush and Byron Howard, along with producer Yvett Merino. The new cast includes Fortune Feimster, Quinta Brunson, and Shakira, who reprises her role as Gazelle.
