In Titan Quest 2, there are numerous side quests that aren’t listed in your journal, making it harder to keep track of them. Items related to these quests are scattered throughout the game and end up in your quest items inventory. However, without knowing what to do with these items, you won’t receive any guidance from the game on how to complete these quests.
Just as the Mysterious Jar from the game’s introduction hints at hidden treasures, you’ll soon come across several coins scattered across the Desolate Shore area upon your arrival. Here’s a guide on locating each coin and how to use them:
1. Coin #1: Found in the northern part of the shore near the broken shipwreck. Use it to access a secret passageway.
2. Coin #2: Hidden behind some rocks on the eastern coast, close to the abandoned village. This coin can be used to open a hidden chest.
3. Coin #3: Located in the western part of the shore, near the cliff edge with the old lighthouse. Use it to access a secret underground chamber.
4. Coin #4: Found on a small island south of the Desolate Shore, reachable by a rickety wooden bridge. This coin is used as currency for trading with a mysterious figure.
5. Coin #5: Secretly tucked away in the cave system beneath the lighthouse. Use it to unlock a hidden door leading to a powerful artifact.
Where to Find Each Quest Coin in Desolate Shore in Titan Quest 2
You’ll find three distinctive coins known as the Large Bull-Faced Man Coin, the Large Bull Coin, and the Large Serpent Coin scattered across the Desolate Shore. The order in which you obtain or utilize these coins doesn’t impact the quest, but it’s more convenient to gather them all before heading to the Shrine to finish the quest.
Large Bull-Faced Man Coin Location

Starting from the initial landmark within the area, you should take the primary route that skirts the coastline, veering towards the south as it curves. Upon encountering a significant stone outcropping, navigate around it to your left side, and eliminate any adversaries nearby. One of them may then drop a coin for you.
Large Bull Coin Location

As a gamer, I proceeded from where I’d found the last coin, heading westward. After a while, I came across a massive rock with trails fanning out in three directions around it. I chose the trail leading northeast, noticing the ominous presence of enemies patrolling that path. But as they fell before me, they dropped the coveted Large Bull Coin!
Large Serpent Coin Location

At the big rock marked by three paths, this occasion calls for choosing the trail to your right – the same path you previously ventured down in search of the Big Bull Coin. Shortly after embarking on this trail, a band of foes awaits, slaying them will yield the Large Serpent Coin among their loot.
What to do With the Quest Coins in Desolate Shore in Titan Quest 2 (Statue of Herakles Location)

In the Desolate Shore, every coin is deposited at the altars near Herakles’ Statue. The Statue is located at the map’s bottom-left corner. To reach it, follow the third path from the big rock. Along this path, you’ll find the Large Serpent Coin and the Large Bull Coin. There are some adversaries lurking near the statue, but once they’re defeated, you can put the coins on any of the three pedestals surrounding the statue in any order you prefer.
Just interact with the pedestal with a coin in your inventory to place it.

Completing this mission awards you a special armor item, its characteristics varying based on your Mastery level and character setup. Additionally, upon completion, you’ll receive 2,276 experience points.
