Tabitha Smith is a type of individual who requires constant supervision due to her tendency to get into mischief when bored. Her nicknames suggest that this could potentially be hazardous, with names such as Boomer, Time Bomb, and Meltdown being some examples she’s been called over time. Generally, though, she’s known as Boom-Boom.

In a nutshell, Boom-Boom’s abilities match her explosive moniker, as she generates orbs filled with plasma energy. She refers to them as time bombs, and they detonate with an overwhelming force. However, it’s the plasma composition of these orbs that seems puzzling. After all, plasma is just highly ionized gas, which isn’t quite fitting in this scenario. What adds to the confusion is the idea that these plasma orbs have a timer attached to them.

2) Quicksilver’s Got the Speed, But No Invulnerability, and That’s a Problem

In Marvel Comics, Pietro Maximoff frequently finds himself overshadowed by his sister Wanda, who is better recognized as Quicksilver. Maggot is a mutant whose powers manifested at a young age, causing gruesome abdominal pains that would give anyone nightmares. Although his power growth is intriguing, it’s hard to comprehend. Maggot has an unusual dependence on slugs, which he must keep close by for his wellbeing.

Similar to Ant-Man, The Wasp possesses the ability to both shrink and expand in size. While she’s generally recognized for reducing her dimensions, it appears that some interpretations of her character bear a heavy price when she enlarges.

When the Wasp is small, she possesses handy wings that aid her in navigation. Interestingly, these wings vanish when she transforms back to her regular size, which we can easily ignore. However, the real conundrum lies in the immense strength those wings would require! Given that both Ant-Man and Wasp retain their weight while shrinking, Janet’s wings would need to be potent enough to lift a typical human. If this is true, wouldn’t it make sense to use the wings when she’s full size instead?

8) Spider-Woman’s (Julia Carpenter) Psionic Abilities

Julia Carpenter is one of several characters known as Spider-Sonas in the extensive Marvel Universe (the Spider-Verse). It’s not surprising that her origin story has a unique twist, given that she became part of an athletic research program and ultimately gained her powers through this experience.

Her distinctive power involves discarding her outer skin layer, which she can then replace with a new one made from various materials at her disposal. Doesn’t that sound like an amazing ability?

The comics consistently emphasize that Husk’s shedding ability has a natural limit. After shedding too much, she inflicts severe pain and destruction upon herself. Yet, in critical situations, these restrictions seem to vanish. Despite being a minor detail, Husk’s limitations contribute significantly to her intrigue.

10) Deadpool – Technically, Shouldn’t There Be Dozens of Deadpools by Now?

Fans of Marvel either adore or can’t help but dislike Deadpool, and it’s easy to understand why. He’s as amusing as he is unpredictable. Known as the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool is more than just his quick wit. Characters like Wade possess an exceptionally rapid regeneration ability, a result of the experiment he lived through (which used cells from Wolverine, as one might expect).

Readers often marvel at how Deadpool miraculously recovers from incredible injuries like decapitation. However, this raises an intriguing question: if Wade can regenerate from just a head, what prevents his body from continuing to grow new Deadpools whenever any other part is severed? After all, cells don’t possess magical powers that allow them to know where the rest of Deadpool might be. The idea of numerous mini-Deadpools scampering around is amusingly horrifying, but it’s easy to see why authors tend to bypass this peculiar quandary.
