As A Longtime Skyler Gisondo Fan, None Of This Suprises Me At All

It’s amusing to me that people on the internet are gushing over Jimmy Olsen, because I’ve been admiring his charm for quite some time now. In fact, long before the 2025 release of Superman, I took notice of Gisondo’s charisma, and every time I see him acting, I find myself falling in love with his performances.

For the first time, the 2019 movie “Booksmart” (currently streamable with an Amazon Prime subscription) marked a conscious viewing experience for me where I truly noticed Gisondo’s performance. Although I had previously seen him in “Psych” and “Once Upon a Time”, his roles were smaller and I didn’t recall much about him. However, when I watched Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut, I was struck by the indelible character he portrayed, Jared.

Jared may not be the typical definition of a “god,” yet he embodies this role flawlessly. He’s an assertive, quirky, and entertaining individual who hosts extravagant parties and sports T-shirts featuring his own image on them (even though it might seem confusing, you can see it in the picture provided). His phrases such as “Jere-bear coming at you from all angles,” and naming his car the “S.S. Lit As Fuck” showcase his unique humor. Airplanes and musicals are two of his passions. Despite being utterly unconventional, he is genuinely authentic and deeply cares for his friends. This combination left me with no choice but to develop a fondness for him.

As a movie enthusiast, I can’t help but find the charm of that fellow absolutely irresistible, much like the character Jimmy Olsen. Brett Gisondo brings such authenticity to both roles, and it’s evident that these characters are confident in their unique ways. This is one reason why I’ve been a dedicated fan for so long, and I believe this endearing quality of the Superman character is what captivates many ladies too.

Indeed, it’s hardly surprising to see the affection for Jimmy, and I’m genuinely thrilled that the actor portraying him is receiving the recognition he truly merits.
