Most horror movie series don’t last beyond a few films, and even successful ones usually fade after a while as audiences’ tastes change. However, a small number of franchises have managed to consistently scare viewers across generations, maintaining their popularity and staying true to what made them great.
The original Evil Dead movie debuted in October 1981, and since then, Sam Raimi (the writer and director) has developed it into a remarkably successful and highly praised horror series – and it continues to grow. What sets Evil Dead apart is that Raimi and his partner, Rob Tapert, have allowed new filmmakers to contribute their own creative vision to the franchise, building on the terrifying world and monsters born from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis and the “Deadites.”
The official trailer for the sixth installment in the Evil Dead series, Evil Dead Burn, has just been released, and you can watch it now!

“Evil Dead Burn” is being described as the most intense and frightening installment yet in the popular horror series. The story follows a woman grieving the loss of her husband who seeks comfort with her in-laws at their remote house. The Evil Dead movies generally center around young people who find themselves at a remote cabin in the woods, or, as seen in Army of Darkness,
I’m really excited about this new film! The cast includes Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, George Pullar, Maude Davey, and Greta Van Den Brink. It’s being directed by Sébastien Vaniček, who co-wrote the script with Florent Bernard. And get this – Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi are producing, with Romel Adam, Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin (the director of the last one), and Jose Canas all serving as executive producers. It sounds like it’s in good hands!
The new movie, Evil Dead Burn, comes out in theaters on July 10th. Let us know what you think of the trailer on the ComicBook Forum!
