Arnold Schwarzenegger is far more than just a star of science fiction action movies. His film *The Terminator* is a defining movie of the 1980s and launched a hugely successful series. He also starred in the 1987 hit *Predator*, which similarly spawned a popular and ongoing franchise. But beyond his most famous roles, there are some lesser-known films he’s been in – including a surprisingly good one from the 1990s that you might not have seen, but can now watch on Prime Video.

What truly sets *End of Days* apart from typical sci-fi or horror action movies is its surprising emotional depth. The film’s story of Jericho fighting evil isn’t just about saving the world, but also about his personal faith and a reflection on what’s right and wrong. The film cleverly uses the Y2K anxieties of 1999 – being set on New Year’s Eve with a midnight deadline for Satan’s plans – and this element still resonates powerfully today. That makes *End of Days* a great watch this fall, especially now that it’s available on Prime Video.
End of Days is now streaming on Prime Video.
