At the Future Games Show, the developers of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced showed off the latest changes to the game. While many of the updates had been previously revealed, they also provided more details about Lucy, one of the three new characters players can recruit as officers.
When you first encounter her, you’ll discover she’s a fugitive with a price on her head. But there’s a hidden side to her – she comes from a wealthy family. She won’t agree to work with you unless you offer assistance. The game also introduces a new storyline centered around Blackbeard, revealing more about his history and connection to Edward.
Swimming offers a lot of freedom, letting you dive anywhere to explore or reach islands where you can’t directly sail. This can help you find hidden routes and shortcuts. Plus, a new skill called Brace will significantly reduce the damage your ship takes, and you’ll be able to switch between different weapon modes during naval battles with ease.
The updated version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, now called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting July 9th. You can find a detailed preview of the game here, and listen to the new theme song by Woodkid here.
