Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Includes 3 Graphics Modes With Ray Tracing on Consoles

Okay, so everyone’s been talking about Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and it’s actually coming out in less than three months! It’s wild how much info is dropping right now. Ubisoft just confirmed that not only do we have the PC specs, but the PlayStation and Xbox versions will have three different graphics settings, and ray tracing will be turned on for all of them. Pretty awesome!

The game offers three graphics modes: Performance (smooth 60 frames per second), Fidelity (detailed visuals at 30 FPS), and Balanced (40 FPS, but requires a 120Hz display). All modes include realistic lighting effects, but the Fidelity mode also adds ray-traced reflections for even greater realism. We’ll have to test how well each mode runs, but it’s likely the developers have adjusted other settings to maintain a good frame rate in the Performance and Balanced modes.

If you’re playing on PS5, you’ll automatically get enhanced features like immersive haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and Tempest 3D Audio. For PS5 Pro owners, an upgraded version of PSSR will be available right away for even better graphics. Otherwise, all players can look forward to improved visuals and some new rendering effects.

A complete remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, launches on July 9th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The remake features completely updated combat and parkour, along with new quests and storylines focusing on characters like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet. However, the original game’s multiplayer and downloadable content won’t be included, and the segments set in the modern day featuring Abstergo have been removed.
