Assassin’s Creed Shadows Adds Advanced Parkour, Corrupted Castles on October 28th

Following the exciting news about Assassin’s Creed Shadows coming to the Switch 2, Ubisoft also shared details about upcoming updates for the game. The first, Parkour Update 2, arrives on October 28th and adds a new ‘Advanced Parkour’ feature.

The update removes limitations on side and back ejects, giving players more flexibility in movement. Now, these moves can be performed from any height. Additionally, the parkour system has been improved with features like vertical ledge grabs working on more surfaces and the addition of directional ledge catching, enhancing movement options whether or not the new eject features are enabled.

There’s more coming! We’re adding Corrupted Castles, which make previously completed castles much harder with new challenges, like anomalies and Samurai Daisho. Five of these tougher castles will be available each season. On November 25th, Title Update 11 arrives, featuring a unique collaboration and a funny new quest called “A Puzzlement” that revisits some familiar foes.

The game is getting some exciting new features! Yasuke will gain the ability to silently take down enemies without killing them, and Naoe will get a unique version of Yasuke’s powerful War Kick. Players will also encounter a new puzzle that Ubisoft hints might answer some long-standing questions from the community. Plus, keep an eye out for some free in-game gifts during the holidays!

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 starting December 2nd. The game’s expansion, Claws of Awaji, is planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
