He assisted Superman in saving Booster Gold from a dangerous future controlled by Darkseid, and teamed up with Lois Lane to deliver an important message to Doomsday. Now that Superman is missing, Earth needs a new hero, and Prime is determined to take on that role. However, he’s facing a new challenge with the return of a classic Superman enemy who hasn’t been seen in years.
Along with the trailer and the official title announcement, HBO has announced the series will premiere in December 2026. It was originally expected in 2027, but the new release date feels fitting, considering the Harry Potter films are popular choices for holiday viewing, even if they aren’t specifically Christmas movies.
Netflix announced that Adam Sandler will star in a remake of the 2001 French film L’Emploi du temps, now titled Time Out. Sandler will play Vincent, a recently unemployed man who tries to hide his job loss from his family. As his lies grow, he risks everything, raising the question of how far someone will go to protect their loved ones. The film also features Willem Dafoe, Gaby Hoffmann, F. Murray Abraham, Steve Zahn, and Adam Horovitz.

Developer Travis Howe recently shared an animated cutscene on social media, reimagining a scene from the classic game Jak and Daxter with modern graphics. Howe, formerly of Sanzaru Games, clarified that this wasn’t an official PlayStation project. He and a small team of animators created it as a pitch to convince PlayStation to remake or remaster the game. While PlayStation ultimately passed on the idea, the cutscene gives fans a glimpse of what a modern Jak and Daxter could look like with updated textures and lighting.
This new adaptation needs to carefully balance staying true to the original story, appealing to fans of the Harry Potter films, and also offering something fresh and unique to make it worthwhile. Early looks suggest it’s succeeding in doing just that. Check out the trailer below!

I recently got to try out Pokemon Champions before its release at a preview event. We played it on the new Switch 2, and I was impressed by the improved graphics. However, I quickly noticed the game frequently asks you to spend Victory Points (VP) to do almost anything. While it’s expected that free-to-start games like Champions have in-game currency, how well that currency is balanced between paying and non-paying players will be crucial, especially since the game focuses heavily on player-versus-player battles.
