Numerous shows have tried to capture the magic of Fullmetal Alchemist, but none have quite measured up. Now, it appears the original creator, Arakawa, might have finally delivered a worthy follow-up with her new series, Daemons of the Shadow Realm. After running for years as a manga, the story has been adapted into an anime by Bones Film – the same studio that brought Fullmetal Alchemist to life. However, what really makes Daemons of the Shadow Realm feel like a successor isn’t just these connections, but something much more fundamental.

As a big fan of Dune: Awakening, I was a little worried when it first launched. It had some issues with how it played and ran, though the performance has definitely improved. The biggest problem, though, was figuring out what to do. It felt like the game didn’t really guide you, and a lot of players ended up stuck doing things they didn’t even enjoy. Thankfully, the developers have listened, and they’ve really focused on giving us more freedom to play the game the way we want. It’s becoming a much more enjoyable experience now!

Since the game’s release, many players have reported problems with bugs, crashes, and issues with saved games, making it difficult to play. We did notice the graphics weren’t quite as sharp on the console version compared to the PC version, but we didn’t experience any of the bugs or crashes ourselves while playing on the PS5 Pro.

As a huge horror fan, I remember when The Cabin in the Woods came out in 2012 – it totally flipped the genre on its head! It wasn’t just scary, it brilliantly explained how so many horror movies work, suggesting there were hidden forces pulling the strings all along. It’s easily one of the best horror films we’ve seen in recent years, and I was really disappointed to hear that the planned sequel never materialized.
