Maybe you aren’t the visual, baby.
After years of anticipation, Beyoncé fans might finally know what’s happening with the music videos for her 2022 album, Renaissance, thanks to a possible hint from Barbie Ferreira.
Barbie revealed on the May podcast In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele that she filmed a music video with Beyoncé about three and a half years ago, but it seems the video will never be released, and she’s made peace with that.
Although the official release date for the video is still uncertain, Barbie revealed she filmed a video for “Thique” with director Nadia Lee Cohen, along with Megan Thee Stallion, Carmen Electra, Shygirl, and Precious Lee.
The 29-year-old described the atmosphere as amazing, saying it was full of attractive people. She used slang to emphasize this, referring to them as ‘thick baddies’.
Owen was amazed by what he saw and immediately said, “She needs to release that!” However, he and other Beyoncé fans might be let down, as the singer has consistently responded to questions about the missing videos by saying, “You are the visual, baby!”
Barbie finally gave up hope, saying, “I was still hoping until now, but I’ve realized I won’t be appearing in Beyoncé’s music video.”
Even though the brief appearance might not be released, many fans interpreted Barbie’s comments as confirmation that the footage actually exists somewhere.
As a huge fan of the podcast, I was so excited to see someone finally call out what we’ve all been thinking! Someone commented on the YouTube video asking Barbie if she realized how long we’ve been hoping to see something – like pictures or videos – since she hinted they might be coming. It really captures the feeling of anticipation everyone shares!
Another noted on X, “This is CRAZY! Why is she holding out on these visuals?!??”

It’s been a turbulent week for fans of the singer known as Crazy in Love. Her publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, recently dismissed speculation surrounding her upcoming album, act III.
Following reports that Beyoncé’s new album was finished and coming out this summer, Yvette firmly stated that this information is not true.
