Get ready for a trip down memory lane! A hugely popular show from the 1990s is coming to Netflix, letting viewers revisit the dramatic and captivating lives of its attractive doctors and nurses.
You’ll be able to watch all 15 seasons of ER – over 300 episodes – on Netflix in the UK and Ireland starting Monday, February 9th, 2026. Get ready to revisit the fast-paced drama of Cook County General Hospital whenever you want!
I used to think this show was unbeatable – it was the longest-running medical drama on TV for so long! But then, around 2018, Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy just kept going and going, and now that’s the record holder. It’s still amazing how long this show lasted, though!
Despite everything, ER remains a significant show in television history, as it helped launch the careers of many now-famous actors, including George Clooney, Julianna Margulies, Alex Kingston, and Noah Wyle.

This show is known for establishing a formula that many medical dramas, like Grey’s Anatomy, still use today: combining intense professional situations with the personal lives and challenges of the doctors and nurses involved.
The show received incredible recognition, earning a total of 124 Emmy nominations and winning 23 awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actress for Margulies and Outstanding Drama Series in 1996.
The series concluded in April 2009, and later featured well-known actors like Parminder Nagra, Maura Tierney, Linda Cardellini, John Stamos, and Angela Bassett during its run.
Many popular TV shows struggle to end well, but the fifteenth season finale of ER, titled “And in the End…”, was a success. It currently has a very high rating of 9.2 out of 10 on IMDb.

Noah Wyle, known for his role on ER, is now starring in the hit HBO Max medical drama, The Pitt, which has recently won awards at both the Emmys and Golden Globes.
Unfortunately, the popular show isn’t currently available to watch in the UK. Until it is, perhaps the recent return of ‘ER’ on Netflix can offer something similar.
ER is coming to Netflix UK on Monday 9th February 2026.
Okay, so I just found out you can add ‘ER’ to your watchlist on the TopMob app – it’s called ‘What to Watch’. I downloaded it, and it gives you daily recommendations for shows and has other cool features too. Seriously, if you’re a fan of ‘ER’ like me, you should check it out!
