Sam Asghari is sharing his prerogative on Britney Spears‘ latest chapter.

Following Britney Spears’ decision to enter a treatment facility after her March DUI arrest, her ex-husband expressed his support, saying he’s happy she’s prioritizing her well-being and recovery.

Sam told TMZ on April 22nd that he approves, and he’s happy as long as that person remains in control.

Britney’s former husband, Kevin Federline, who shares 20-year-old Sean Preston and 19-year-old Jayden James with her, feels the same way.

According to his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin is aware of the reports that she’s entered a rehabilitation facility. Kaplan said Kevin supports her decision to seek help, especially since it seems to be something she chose for herself.

He emphasized that the most important thing is for her to follow and finish whatever treatment plan is recommended.

Britney was arrested for driving under the influence in California on March 4th. After being released, a spokesperson for the singer called the incident “unfortunate and inexcusable.”

The spokesperson said Britney will follow the legal process, and they hope this marks the beginning of positive changes she’s needed for a long time.

Although Sam hasn’t talked to Britney since their divorce earlier in 2024 – after just over a year of marriage – he says he wants her to do well and get better. He shared this with TopMob News in March after her arrest, stating, “I wish her the most success and recovery.”
