Does Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 have cross-save?
That’s right. To play Black Ops 7, you’ll need to create an Activision account. This account is what lets you save and continue your game progress no matter which device you’re playing on.
Logging in with your account instantly connects it across all platforms. This means you can easily switch between playing on console, PC, Game Pass, Steam, or Battle.net without losing your progress.
Any progress you make in the game and anything you buy from the store are saved to your Activision account, not just to the device or platform you’re playing on.
Does Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 have cross-play?
Yes, players on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation will all be able to play together in multiplayer games. This is the standard setting.
Black Ops 6 allowed players on consoles to choose whether to play only with others on the same system, or with all console players, in both ranked and regular matches. We anticipate a similar option will be available in Black Ops 7.
I know, I know – another account to create! But yes, you’ll need an Activision account to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, just like you did with Black Ops 6.
The best part about this is that, like games such as Fortnite, you can sign in on any device and continue playing exactly where you stopped. Your progress is saved automatically, so even if you’ve reached a high level like Master Prestige and switch to a different platform, you won’t have to begin again from the start.
I’ve noticed that everything you buy in the game, like the battle pass or character skins, uses CoD Points – that’s the special currency for Call of Duty. The good thing is, because of this, your purchases aren’t tied to a single platform. Whatever you unlock or buy travels with your account, no matter where you play.
Keep in mind that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is coming to Xbox with the Play Anywhere feature for the first time. This lets you purchase the game just once and enjoy it on both your Xbox console and on Windows 11 PCs through the Xbox app. Note that a PC Game Pass subscription alone won’t give you console access.
The latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 7, will be available November 14, 2025, for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. It will also be included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions.
