Mike Flanagan has a distinct style, and his work often features truly remarkable moments. His TV series are full of standout scenes – from powerful, emotionally charged conversations and shocking plot twists to unforgettable monologues – that showcase his talent.

We’re introduced to Baranov as a theatre director, but he quickly becomes the key strategist behind Vladimir Putin (played with chilling precision by Jude Law), the head of the FSB. Putin gradually takes control from the weakening and alcoholic President Boris Yeltsin. However, it’s Putin who the wealthy Russian oligarchs see as someone they can control, with Baranov subtly pulling the strings from behind the scenes, enjoying the true power.

Shredder is the main villain of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, first appearing in the original comic book in 1984. He’s usually portrayed as Oroku Saki, a dangerous samurai who leads the Foot Clan and has a long-standing rivalry with Splinter, the Turtles’ sensei. The new movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, changes Splinter’s backstory – he’s now just a regular rat from New York, not a former ninja’s pet. This will likely change how Shredder and the Turtles interact in future installments. As of now, no actor has been chosen to voice Shredder.

The DC Universe’s first movie of 2026 will feature a new villain named Krem of the Yellow Hills. The recent Supergirl trailer offered the best look yet at the character, who appears heavily armored with metal and bone. Actor Matthias Schoenaerts plays Krem, a pirate and assassin who starts Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) on a dangerous, interdimensional pursuit by poisoning her dog, Krypto, with a poisoned arrow. This act is the catalyst for the entire story in Supergirl.

The new Spider-Noir series will showcase four of Spider-Man’s classic enemies: Electro (played by Joe Massingill), Sandman (Jack Huston), Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson), and Tombstone (Abraham Popoola). Each villain will have a significant part to play, challenging Nicolas Cage’s 1930s-era Spider-Man.

The animated movie Hexed will be released in theaters on November 25, 2026, right before Thanksgiving – a time when Disney animated films have consistently been huge successes. The film, directed by Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand, promises a fun combination of relatable teen experiences and magical adventures.
