Netflix’s Live-Action ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Series Rounds Out Supporting Cast

I’m really excited about the latest news for the Assassin’s Creed Netflix series! They’ve landed some fantastic actors in recurring roles. Noomi Rapace is a perfect fit – she’s already proven she can handle the intense physical stuff and gritty action from films like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Prometheus. Ramzy Bedia is another great addition; he’s fantastic in action roles, as you can see in Of Money and Blood and Lost Bullet. And Sean Harris (pictured) is just brilliant at playing complex, often unsettling characters – I remember him being incredible as Solomon Lane in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Finally, Corrado Invernizzi brings a lot of experience to the table, with credits in big films like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Ford v Ferrari. The cast is shaping up to be amazing!

‘Weapons’ Ends 16-Year Horror Oscar Streak That Should’ve Been Broken 2018

Look, I have to admit, Amy Madigan winning Best Supporting Actress was a real shocker – in the best way! After four decades of incredible work, she finally took home an Oscar for her truly unsettling and captivating performance as Aunt Gladys in Zach Cregger’s Weapons. Beyond just being a joyful moment for a deserving actress, this win feels genuinely significant for horror as a whole. It’s been almost twenty years since a horror performance received this kind of recognition from the Academy, and it proves that audiences and critics are finally acknowledging the artistry within the genre.

Gore Verbinski’s New R-Rated Sci-Fi Movie Quietly Becomes American Streaming Success After Record-Breaking Box Office

I was so excited when the director’s new movie came out in February, and it totally blew everyone away! It had a record-breaking opening weekend – the biggest for an English-language film in three years, especially considering it was playing in fewer than 1,700 theaters. And for Briarcliff Entertainment, the company releasing it, it was their biggest opening ever. It was amazing to see!
