The 1980s delivered a unique brand of horror. Directors like David Cronenberg shocked audiences with disturbing body horror in films like The Fly, Sam Raimi overwhelmed us with gore in The Evil Dead, and William Lustig truly terrified us with Maniac. But there’s something about ’80s horror that still resonates today. 1981 Horror Classic The Howling Finally Getting Remake After Being Stuck In Development Hell

As a big horror fan, I’ve always loved The Howling. It’s a werewolf movie directed by Joe Dante – the guy who did Gremlins – and it was seriously ahead of its time with the special effects. Rob Bottin did amazing work, and the on-screen transformations were groundbreaking for the era. It’s based on a novel from 1977 and follows a news reporter, played by Dee Wallace, who stumbles upon a hidden community of werewolves. While it didn’t make a huge amount of money when it first came out – around $17.9 million – it’s become a real cult favorite over the years. The cast was great too, with Dee Wallace leading the way alongside Patrick Macnee, Dennis Dugan, Christopher Stone, Belinda Balaski, and Kevin McCarthy.

Ice Cream Man – TRAILER

The movie takes place in the peaceful summer town of Bayleen Bay, but things quickly turn terrifying when an ice cream truck arrives and its treats cause a disturbing change in the local children. The film shows a series of scenes depicting a group of kids losing their minds.
