Nathan Mitchell, who plays a main character in The Boys, has discussed the shocking death of his character, Black Noir, in season 5, episode 6, and the intense confrontation leading up to it. In the episode, Black Noir intensifies his conflict with The Deep by deliberately damaging an oil pipeline he had previously claimed was secure. This act causes the deaths of billions of marine animals, which Black Noir boasts about to The Deep. The situation escalates, and The Deep ultimately strangles Black Noir, takes his knife, and fatally stabs him in their recording studio.

Because M.I.A. was filmed in Dubuque, it’s natural to compare it to Ozark, but the similarities would exist even without that connection. Both shows center around family, feature characters adjusting to unfamiliar circumstances, and are well-made, gripping crime dramas. While being likened to Ozark is a positive thing, M.I.A. also shares some of the same flaws as its predecessor.

I was completely hooked by John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place when it came out in 2018 – the story of the Abbott family just trying to survive in a world where sound means death was brilliant. Then, A Quiet Place Part 2 in 2020 continued that thrilling ride. We recently got a look at the beginning of it all with A Quiet Place: Day One in 2024, and now it’s confirmed – the Abbotts will be back for another chapter, A Quiet Place Part 3, hitting theaters on July 30, 2027. I can’t wait!

This film is definitely made for fans of the game, and they’ll find plenty to love, especially with director Simon McQuoid back in charge of the action. While it’s still very violent, there’s more humor than in the first movie, largely thanks to Josh Lawson’s hilariously over-the-top and unfiltered performance as Kano. Though, one unexpected curse word feels a bit unnecessary and just aims for shock value.

Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, has revealed how a new backstory for Soldier Boy in season 5, episode 6, directly connects to his upcoming prequel series, Vought Rising. The recent episode delved into Soldier Boy’s history, showing his encounter with Bombsight while the Boys tried to obtain V-One. It also confirmed a romantic connection between Soldier Boy and Stormfront – when she was known as Clara Vought and Liberty – and was highlighted by their fight with Bombsight at the episode’s end.

It would have been really exciting if a specific rumor had turned out to be true in the years before December 2026.

The Mortal Kombat games have always focused on one-on-one fights, welcoming players of all skill levels – from those who mastered complex moves to those who simply button-mashed. Simon McQuoid’s follow-up to his 2021 film continues this tradition, blending the game’s action with a story about protecting Earthrealm from the ruthless Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford). Kahn is conquering different realms, and his sights are now set on Kitana’s world. As his power increases, he desires even more, leading to a deadly Mortal Kombat tournament where the fate of Earthrealm hangs in the balance.

When Paramount+ and HBO Max combine, the streaming world will look very different. But Disney remains optimistic about its own platform. Even the most popular shows on streaming services eventually come to a close. We recently saw this with Netflix’s Stranger Things, which finished its five-season run in December 2025. Disney+ faced a similar situation with The Mandalorian, starring Pedro Pascal; after three seasons, the story is continuing as a theatrical film, The Mandalorian & Grogu.
