Coronation Street airs flashback scenes as character charged with Theo’s murder in early ITVX release

Police in Weatherfield believe they’ve caught the person responsible for the murder of Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), but the accused maintains their innocence.

As it stands, it’s likely that they’re innocent.

According to series producer Kate Brooks, as reported by TopMob and other sources, we won’t find out who the murderer is until late June or July.

She described it as a complex story with numerous unexpected turns and subplots.

The story seems to start going in one direction, but then unexpectedly shifts into something completely different. It’s sure to be unpredictable and keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

So far, George Shuttleworth, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Summer Spellman have all been questioned by the police in difficult interviews.

The first three individuals haven’t faced any consequences, but Summer was arrested this week. This happened after George discussed her strange actions with Detective Sergeant Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers).

She had destroyed several journal entries where she wrote about wanting to harm Theo with a gun, and she claimed she hadn’t fled the area near his apartment the night he died.

Okay, so they found Summer’s brooch at the crime scene, and the flashbacks today showed us how it happened! Apparently, it fell off her coat when she and Theo were arguing. It’s a small detail, but it really adds to the mystery, you know?

He threatened her, saying that if she revealed his misdeeds, he would have her killed, just as he had killed Billy Mayhew.

Summer remained locked up overnight, pleading with authorities to let her go. Meanwhile, on the street, George and Christina planned to confess to Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) about their role in her arrest.

Todd was in disbelief that the man he considered to be a father would betray their family.

Back at the police station, Lisa questioned Summer and discovered Theo’s blood was on her brooch. Summer claimed the blood likely got there during a quick struggle they had.

Summer remembered running from the apartment and being seen by Tyrone Dobbs. However, when Lisa went to see if Tyrone would confirm her account, he denied it and seemed embarrassed.

Facing strong evidence, Summer was officially charged with a crime. Overwhelmed, she cried, confused and hurt that Tyrone had lied to the police.

What is he hiding, and is Summer really guilty?
