Former Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has quit her second soap role in a year.
The actress, who joined the flagship ITV show as Daisy Midgeley in 2020, departed in May.
Daisy left Weatherfield to start a new life in Bali, taking £60,000 of her stepmother Jenny Bradley’s money with her.
I was really surprised to learn that just a few days after leaving Coronation Street, Jordan announced she’d be joining the cast of The Archers! It’s such a classic radio drama, and a totally different move from TV – I’m really curious to hear her on it.
Just a few months after first appearing as the enigmatic Amber Gordon, the actress is leaving the show and the part will be played by someone else.
As per The Sun, actress Olivia Bernstone will reportedly assume the part going forward.
Jordan has officially joined the cast of the period drama, The Hairdresser Mysteries, and will play a significant role. They’ll be acting with Sally Phillips and Charlotte Hope.
This show, set in the 1970s, centers on Lily Petal (Phillips), a stylist who arrives in a quiet village and begins to discover hidden truths about the people who live there.
The play was written by Jim Cartwright, whose son, James Cartwright, recently joined the cast of Coronation Street as Theo Silverton.
