The developers at Bloober Team have shared a 35-minute preview of their upcoming third-person survival horror title, Cronos: The New Dawn, offering a glimpse into the early stages of the game.
Here is an overview of the game, via Bloober Team:
About
Survive the nightmare of the future to save what remains of the past.
In a bleak setting where Eastern European brutality blends with advanced tech from the past, “Cronos: The New Dawn” offers an engaging narrative that navigates the boundary between yesteryears and tomorrow.
Previously, I found myself living in a world undergoing The Change – an unprecedented catastrophe that irrevocably reshaped the human race. Fast forward to the desolate landscapes of tomorrow, each day is a struggle for existence against grotesque monstrosities that challenge not just my reflexes but also my strategic acumen.
In this role, you function as an explorer on behalf of a mysterious group called the Collective. Your mission is to traverse desolate landscapes of the future, with the goal of locating peculiar temporal anomalies or portals that can transport you back to the 1980s Poland.
Harvester of Souls
Your task involves finding significant individuals from history who met their end during the catastrophic event known as the apocalypse. By employing the Harvester’s immense power, you can gather their spiritual essences, allowing them to travel with you into the future.
Plan Every Move
In a world that’s perpetually threatening, your survival heavily depends on your knack for strategizing and forward-thinking. The monstrous foes you’ll face are grotesque remnants of what once was human—overcoming them necessitates utilizing all the tools at your disposal. In the heat of combat, swift choices can decide between living and dying.
Such is our calling.
