A popular dark fantasy anime that premiered on Crunchyroll last year is returning for a second season this summer. A new trailer and poster have been released to announce its comeback. Crunchyroll is already having a busy year with lots of new anime, and fans can look forward to even more content, including the continuation of this hit series.
Last summer, the anime Clevatess was a big hit on Crunchyroll, and fans were thrilled to hear a second season was planned. Updates have been scarce since then, but now it’s official: the new season will arrive this summer! To get fans excited for the July 2026 premiere, a brand new trailer and poster have been released, giving a first look at the new characters joining the cast.
Clevatess Season 2 Confirms July 2026 Release Window
Season 2 of Clevatess is scheduled to premiere in July as part of the Summer 2026 anime lineup. The team behind the first season is also returning, with Kiyotaka Taguchi directing at Lay-duce. Keigo Koyonagi will write the series’ scripts, Souichirou Sako will design the characters, and Nobuaki Nobusawa is composing the music. A new trailer has also been released, showcasing both new and returning voice actors.
Season 2 of Clevatess is adding some new voices! Shuichiro Umeda will play Ray, Yurina Kikuchi will voice Mary, Tatsumaru Tachibana will be Andrew, Ryota Suzuki will play Tigel, and Hiromu Mineta will voice Leon. Crunchyroll will be the only place to watch the new season when it comes out this summer in North America and other regions. While you wait, you can watch the first season now on Crunchyroll.
Why You Should Watch Clevatess

Last year, Clevatess quickly became a standout anime on Crunchyroll, offering a fresh and captivating dark fantasy experience. The story takes place in a world ruled by four incredibly powerful monsters, and humanity’s last hope sent a team of heroes to defeat one of them, hoping to survive. However, this battle was just the start of a much larger and more fascinating journey.
Clevatess is dangerously close to ending the world, but he’s intrigued to see what the next human leader will become and how they might shape the future. However, with many new dangers and obstacles appearing in the upcoming season, things are clearly going to get much more difficult.
