Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is off to a strong start, with Daredevil engaging in brutal fights and beginning to weaken Kingpin’s grip on the city. A major storyline this season involves Daredevil gathering allies to permanently defeat Fisk. While Jessica Jones is confirmed to join the fight, recent on-set photos reveal a highly anticipated character reunion is also in the works.
Even though season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is currently being released weekly on Disney+, production for season 3 is already underway. Recent set photos, shared by Warling, reveal Krysten Ritter walking with two individuals in hooded jackets who have been identified as Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Iron Fist). This suggests that The Defenders—the superhero team from the Netflix series—are reuniting in the third season of Born Again.
The Defenders Have Finally Returned Thanks To Daredevil: Born Again
Fans of the old Marvel Netflix shows will be excited to hear this! The Defenders was a landmark event, bringing together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist after each had their own series. While the show brought all these heroes together, a continuation never happened, especially with the rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The moment fans have been waiting for is here, and it’s now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Jessica Jones (Ritter) is already confirmed to return in season two of ‘Born Again,’ which sparked hope that Luke Cage (Colter) and Iron Fist (Jones) would join her. Now, three of the four Defenders are together in one scene, and fans are excited about the possibility of seeing the complete team reunited.
As a huge fan, I was really digging through the photos and noticed something awesome! Luke Cage is wearing that same brown suit he had on after taking over the club at the end of season 2. It looks like a lot of the Luke Cage series is going to be officially part of the MCU canon now, just like Daredevil! Honestly, for a while it felt like seeing these characters connect to the main MCU was just a crazy wish, so it’s incredible to see it actually happening.
