After the huge success of the first movie in the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy, the anime is now working on the next two films before moving on to the series’ final story arc. Infinity Castle focuses on the intense battle between the Demon Slayers and the powerful Upper Moons. The first film broke records, earning over 100 billion yen worldwide last November, and its popularity continues to grow, especially after a special release in ScreenX theaters. While fans eagerly await news from the animation studio, the official website recently shared a new image featuring the male characters – Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Genya, and the male Hashira – to celebrate White Day. They’re shown in modern clothes, holding desserts and stuffed animals. White Day, celebrated on March 14th in Japan and parts of East Asia, is a tradition where men give gifts in return for the chocolates and presents they received from women on Valentine’s Day, which is why the image focuses solely on the male characters.
Demon Slayer Will Continue The Battle in Infinity Castle Part 2
The Infinity Castle Arc features the entire main cast, including the Hashira, battling the Upper Moons. It’s the series’ longest story arc, giving almost every character a significant role. The first movie concentrated on Tanjiro, Giyu, Zenitsu, and Shinobu and their fights, but the next film will shift its focus to a different group of characters; those featured in the first part won’t be returning.
With Akaza and Kaigaku defeated, three Upper Rank Demons remain, including the incredibly strong Kokushibo and Doma – both pose a serious threat even to the Hashira. While Kokushibo hasn’t fought yet, Doma has already killed Shinobu and continues his rampage, even consuming her right before Kanao’s eyes, which sparked a furious attack. However, Shinobu secretly signaled Kanao before dying, suggesting they might have a strategy to defeat Doma’s powerful abilities. Unfortunately, given the lack of new information, it doesn’t seem likely that the next part of the story will be released this year.
Infinity Castle premiered in Japan in July 2025, with a worldwide release following in September. Because the first movie is still being shown in theaters, the dates for when it will be available for streaming have been delayed. While fans might get a first look at the film with a key visual or teaser this year, those plans aren’t confirmed. The anime itself doesn’t have major events planned for 2026, but starting in April, several Japanese TV channels, including Fuji TV, will air the entire series – everything except the newest movie.
