With so many online games being shut down recently, you might have been surprised to see Destruction AllStars still available. But it appears its run is now over. As reported by Wario64, the game has been removed from the PlayStation Store and the online servers are no longer active.
I’ve confirmed the game has been removed from the PlayStation Store. I searched on PS5 in two different regions and couldn’t find it. While the game’s PlayStation.com page still shows a wishlist button and star ratings, the section listing available editions is now empty.
Neither Sony nor Lucid announced when their servers would close – even the game Concord was removed from sale two weeks before it stopped working, about seven weeks after its launch. However, Destruction AllStars does offer an Arcade Mode, allowing players to compete against AI and earn new customization items.
If multiplayer support is truly ending, it’s not unexpected. The game launched in February 2021 for PS5, but despite being offered for free to PlayStation Plus members for two months, it never gained a large player base. Even when sold for $19.99, it didn’t attract much attention. Plans to make the game free-to-play didn’t happen, and the development studio, Lucid Games, was bought by Lightspeed Games, which is owned by Tencent, in 2023.
