Dexter: Resurrection future confirmed after prequel spin-off series axed after one season

Dexter: Resurrection has been officially picked up for another season! Michael C. Hall will reprise his role as the famous character, and Clyde Phillips will continue to lead the show as showrunner.

Hall announced the start of the writers’ room for season 2 in a social media video, which is available to view below.

Dexter: Resurrection, the follow-up to Dexter: New Blood, brought Dexter and his son Harrison back together, while also introducing a new set of enemies.

Season 1 starred Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, David Dastmalchian, and Krysten Ritter. The season also brought back some beloved characters from the original show, much to the delight of fans.

Now, here’s just hoping this renewal gets a little further down the road than Original Sin’s did.
