Okay, Halloween is almost here, and as a Fortnite fan, I’m already getting hyped! The best part? That means Fortnitemares 2025 is just around the corner, and we’ll find out when it starts really soon!

Every year, Epic Games hosts a huge Halloween event in their game, featuring a variety of famous horror characters.

Now that we know when Fortnitemares 2025 begins, here’s a preview of what’s in store.

When is the Fortnitemares 2025 start date?

Okay, so Fortnitemares 2025 is actually happening right now! Epic Games officially announced it on October 10th, and it went live at the same time. I’m already jumping in to check it out!

I’m so excited – this event is happening from October 10th to November 1st! That gives us a few weeks to check out everything they’re offering, and I’ve got all the details below.

This is your last big chance to enjoy this event before the new Fortnite season arrives next month, so don’t miss out!

What to expect from Fortnitemares 2025

This year’s Fortnitemares event introduces a brand-new boss character, the Mother of Thorns, and she’ll be voiced by the incredibly talented Doja Cat.

She won’t be alone on the island; she’ll be joined by a diverse group of famous characters, including horror icons like Jason Voorhees (from Friday the 13th) and Ghostface (from Scream), alongside Wednesday Addams and even the mystery-solving Scooby-Doo.

Along with updates to the classic Battle Royale map, Reload is also introducing Nitemare Island, a brand new map for the game mode.

Expect a variety of new and returning weapons, plus new quests and lots of fresh cosmetic items to unlock or purchase in the Item Shop.

Last year’s Fortnitemares event added cool new items like the Boom Billy and Chainsaw, plus some awesome character skins inspired by horror icons like Leatherface, Edward Scissorhands, and Billy the Puppet. We’re hoping Fortnitemares 2025 brings even more amazing skins!
