Blood of Dawnwalker aims to be a challenging role-playing game where your choices really matter and have lasting effects. The game will also feature difficult combat, and players will need to make decisions under pressure.
If the game seems too challenging or not challenging enough for you, don’t worry! The developers, Rebel Wolves, have included a wide range of difficulty options to customize your experience.
According to a recent Game Informer article (reported by MP1st), the studio founder Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has shared that the game will have four difficulty settings: Story, Normal, Duelist, and Nightmare.
These features are fairly straightforward, but the important thing is that the game will also have extra difficulty options you can add on top of your initial choice.
So, it looks like you can adjust typical game settings, such as how much damage attacks deal, character health, and other aspects of how the game plays.
The game also includes an optional “omnidirectional” blocking feature. If you prefer not to use the directional parry system (which is similar to the one in Kingdom Come: Deliverance), you can turn this on. It does use more stamina, likely to keep the game balanced, but it’s available if you want a simpler blocking method.
It makes me curious to see how much players will be able to customize the game. I wouldn’t be shocked if they let you adjust other core features too, like how quickly Coen, the main character, recovers his health.
Overall, Dawnwalker is looking really good based on what we’ve seen. It’s still planned to launch on PlayStation 5 on September 3rd, and that month is already looking packed with exciting new game releases.
What are your initial thoughts on The Blood of Dawnwalker? Do you plan on using the different difficulty options? Let’s keep the discussion civil in the comments!
