Electronic Arts has revealed gameplay footage for EA Sports UFC 6, launching July 19th on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The trailer features the intense action you’d expect – lots of punches, kicks, and knockouts. You can watch it below.
EA Sports hasn’t revealed all the details yet, but they’ve described the new game modes as offering a deeply engaging experience where every fight feels meaningful. Two modes are Hall of Legends and The Legacy. Hall of Legends looks like it will let you relive iconic fights from UFC history, and The Legacy seems to be all about creating and developing your own fighter. You’ll start in small, local venues and work your way up to the biggest stages, honing your skills along the way.
EA Sports has included its signature features like Markerless Capture and Sapien Technology to make the fighters look and move incredibly realistically. The game uses the Frostbite engine to create realistic physics and visible damage, and a new ‘Flow State’ system rewards skilled players by letting them perform even better.
The game promises a great experience for existing fans, and UFC enthusiasts will be excited to learn that Ken Shamrock and Randy Couture are playable characters for the first time. However, you’ll need to purchase the Fighter Pass to unlock them – it’s currently only included in the $99.99 Ultimate Edition. The good news is the Fighter Pass also includes six other fighters, and the Ultimate Edition gives you a week of early access. You can find more information here.
