I’m really excited about this new documentary, ‘EastEnders Investigates: The Manosphere,’ coming to BBC Three next month. It’s linked to a storyline they’re currently doing on the show about misogyny, and it sounds like it’s going to be a really important look at the issues.
The special episode will broadcast on Thursday, October 9th at 8 PM. Details about what’s in it will be revealed soon.
Last month, it was announced that the soap opera would be creating a documentary exploring the topic of misogyny.
A tabloid claimed the documentary would include actors from the soap opera, and those involved hoped it would spark more conversation about the show.
It is understood that the documentary will coincide with relevant scenes on-screen.

The current storyline on EastEnders focuses on teenager Joel Marshall (Max Murray) and his harmful behavior. Since joining the show, he’s committed several serious offenses, including sexually assaulting someone on a train while a friend filmed it, recording a private moment with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) without her consent, and sharing explicit footage of Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) online.
It turned out Joel wasn’t able to go back to Australia because he’d secretly taken a photo up a woman’s skirt. Ross had paid the family involved to prevent the incident from being reported to the police.
Executive producer Ben Wadey has confirmed that this storyline will soon reach a critical point.
Alice Haig, the actress who plays Vicki Fowler, also shared that viewers should prepare for some extremely intense and upsetting scenes.
