So, big news for Elden Ring fans like me! A24 and Bandai Namco are making a live-action movie directed by Alex Garland, which is super exciting. And it’s not just that – FromSoftware is planning to release Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition later this year. This will include the full game, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, plus some new classes and armor to play with. But wait, there’s more! Another awesome project inspired by the world of Elden Ring is also coming soon, which is just fantastic news for us fans.
The graphic novel series, Elden Ring: Distant Tales Between: Volume 1, will be released by Yen Press on July 16, 2026, with art by Haruichi. This collection of manga tells side stories focusing on popular characters from the Elden Ring video game, such as Rya, Blackguard Big Boggart, and Blaidd the Half-Wolf.

Back in April, a touching panel from the manga Elden Ring: Distant Tales Between: Volume 1 offered a glimpse into a private moment between Tanith and her daughter, Rya. The story takes place before the events of Elden Ring, and while we know how their story ends, this manga explores their lives beforehand, making their eventual fate even more poignant.
Good news for Elden Ring fans! A new manga series inspired by the game, titled Elden Ring: Distant Tales Between: Volume 1, will be released this summer. You can pre-order it now, and it’s sure to be a great addition to any fan’s collection.
