Players of Elden Ring are likely familiar with the Dung Eater, a character widely considered one of the most disturbing in the game’s story. He’s a fellow player character who calls himself a “scourge upon the living” and enjoys killing and desecrating others. Because of his horrific actions, he was imprisoned and sentenced to death, but Queen Marika intervened, and a clip of his execution has recently gone viral on social media.
Fans on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit are buzzing about the upcoming movie and the inclusion of the Dung Eater. One commenter reacted strongly to a behind-the-scenes clip showing the Dung Eater being hit with rotten fruit during a mock execution, exclaiming, “That clip is incredible!” They added that they can’t wait for the movie’s release in March 2028, feeling it’s still too far away. Another fan simply expressed their admiration for the director, Alex Garland, stating, “I kneel…”
Recent set leaks suggest the upcoming Elden Ring movie might feature Marika before the Shattering, potentially even including scenes related to the Dung Eater’s storyline.
