Patrick Schwarzenegger is ready to turn the page on his next role.
An actor from The White Lotus will star with Phoebe Dynevor of Bridgerton in the movie version of Emily Henry’s 2020 book, Beach Read.
Arnold Schwarzenegger shared his enthusiasm on Instagram on April 14th, expressing gratitude to Emily Henry for the chance to work on a project. He promised to do his best to deliver something fans would love and to faithfully represent her writing.
The 32-year-old also publicly thanked his wife, Abby Champion, noting that she’s a big fan of Henry and his books.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, was thrilled to be acting with Dynevor. He mentioned the 30-year-old in a post, saying he’s looking forward to developing their characters together and enjoyed working with her during their screen tests.
In the upcoming movie, Beach Read, Arnold Schwarzenegger will play Gus, a writer of dark fiction, and Phoebe Dynevor will star as January, a romance author. They play neighbors at a Michigan lake community who, struggling with writer’s block, decide to try writing in each other’s genres. Despite this creative collaboration, they jokingly agree there will be no romantic connection between their characters.
The upcoming film, currently without a release date, will be written and directed by Yulin Kuang. She previously co-wrote the screenplay for People We Meet on Vacation, which was based on a novel by Henry published in 2021.
And according to Dynevor, her onscreen chemistry with Schwarzenegger is already off the charts.

I was incredibly impressed with Patrick Schwarzenegger’s audition, and I loved watching him portray the character of Gus,” she shared in an Instagram Story on April 14th. “We’re working really hard to create something that both the author, Emily Henry, and fans will enjoy. More updates are coming soon!”
Emily Henry’s novel, Beach Read, is the latest of her books to be made into a movie or TV show. She’s currently writing the screenplay for the adaptation, following the planned release of her 2024 novel, Funny Story.
I’m so excited! They’re making a movie out of Emily Henry’s Happy Place on Netflix – it’s about Harriet and Wyn, this couple who fake being together on vacation with their friends, and it’s going to be amazing. Plus, they’re also working on a movie version of Book Lovers from last year! Deadline reported it, and I’ve been following the news ever since.

We’re thrilled to announce a new film adaptation of Wuthering Heights! Director Emerald Fennell, who brought us Saltburn, is working again with stars Jacob Elordi and Rosamund Pike to reimagine the story of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in a way that promises to be completely unique.

This film is based on the 2022 novel by Hoover and stars Maika Monroe, Tyriq Withers, Rudy Pankow, Lauren Graham, Bradley Whitford, Lainey Wilson, and Nicholas Duvernay. It will be released in theaters on February 13, 2026. The story follows Kenna, who returns to her hometown after five years hoping to reconnect with her daughter. She unexpectedly finds support from a local bar owner who offers her a second chance. Notably, the author of the bestselling novel also co-wrote the screenplay with Lauren Levine, making this adaptation particularly special.

This new series is based on the hugely popular books by Patricia Cornwell, which currently number 26. The show stars Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, and Jake Cannavale. It will premiere on Prime Video on March 11, 2026. We’re really looking forward to it – Nicole Kidman always delivers fantastic performances (like in Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers, and The Undoing), and the fact that she and Jamie Lee Curtis will be playing crime-fighting sisters makes this one of our most anticipated shows of the year.

He wakes up alone after a mission to the Tau Ceti system—over twelve light-years away—and discovers he’s the only survivor. Now, he has to finish the mission himself: fix a problem that’s causing the sun to dim and prevent humanity from going extinct. It’s a pretty high-stakes situation!

Okay, seriously, I’m losing it over this new adaptation! It’s Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh O’Connor? Dream team! The story itself is already amazing – this writer gets thrown into finishing a huge book series after the original author has this crazy accident, and it’s full of twists. But with them playing the main roles? I just know it’s going to be incredible to see it all unfold on screen. I’ve been waiting for this forever!

This movie is based on Ali Hazelwood’s popular 2021 novel. Starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, it’s a big-screen adaptation of the fake dating romance that became a sensation on #BookTok. What makes this project especially interesting? The novel originally started as fanfiction inspired by Star Wars characters Rey and Kylo Ren, and Tom Bateman is married to Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in the films! This connection, along with the popular source material, makes this movie one to watch.
