In Emmerdale, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) is struggling with the trauma of killing Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), and the painful memories keep coming back to haunt him.
For months, Bear was held captive and forced to work on Ray and Celia Daniels’s farm under terrible conditions. He suffered repeated abuse and tragically witnessed another victim die while in his care.
He eventually left the farmhouse, tracking down Ray and throttling him.
Paddy Dingle and young Dylan helped move Bear’s body into Jai Sharma’s van. They then agreed to keep Bear’s death a secret, hiding what happened from everyone.

But this is a soap opera, so he quickly admitted everything to a therapist and then called the police to turn himself in.
Bear was released from jail, but he’s still struggling with how things stand with Ray. While he acknowledges his actions were wrong, he also feels like a victim in the situation.
Things got even worse after he spoke with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), who shared his feelings. Upset, he went home and broke a mirror, accidentally cutting himself in the process.

Today on the show, Bear went to the hospital asking for help. The nurse told him they would take care of him as quickly as they could, but he’d need to wait his turn because of how they prioritize patients.
As Bear became more agitated, medical student Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) tried to quickly examine his injured hand in a private room. Bear panicked and, in a sudden move, grabbed Jacob from behind, bringing him down in a wrestling-style tackle.

Jacob fell to the ground in agony, as the hospital security guard ushered Bear into a side room.
Paddy and his wife, Mandy (played by Lisa Riley), soon learned a psychiatric team had been contacted. While they were talking about what was best for their father, they realized he had disappeared.
On a dark road outside the hospital, Bear walked beside the line of traffic.
Where is he heading, and will he be ok?
