Eva Longoria Admits She’s Never Watched Desperate Housewives

Eva Longoria has no desire to revisit Wisteria Lane.

The former Desperate Housewives star admits she never watched the popular ABC drama during its eight seasons, and surprisingly, still hasn’t gotten around to it even now.

Eva mentioned that everyone seems to be watching the show again, and it was recently the second most popular program on a streaming service. She told Jesse Tyler Ferguson on his podcast, Dinner’s On Me, that she’s constantly getting asked if she wants to re-watch, but she’s good – she’s already seen it!

The actress, now 51, said that show creator Marc Cherry isn’t interested in bringing back her character, Gabrielle Solis, who she played from 2004 to 2012.

Eva recalled that the show originally produced a full 24 episodes every year for ten years, and she dismissed the current trend of shorter seasons, saying, ‘We didn’t have these seasons with only six or eight episodes.’

You know, Marc and I were talking, and he said we’d really explored every angle of these characters. Honestly, my reaction was, ‘I’m exhausted! I feel like I’ve dated everyone in town!’ It sounds ridiculous, but it felt like I’d truly connected with, well, everyone.

Still, if the opportunity did arise Eva previously shared she would certainly be on board.

You know, when I was on Good Day New York back in 2022, I told them I’d jump at the chance! Honestly, I’m already picturing myself right there in the middle of it all – I’d be first in line, absolutely!

Although a full revival isn’t happening, a spinoff of Desperate Housewives is in the works, produced by Kerry Washington. Eva Longoria’s former co-star, Felicity Huffman, is excited to see it.

She enthusiastically supported the initiative, telling TopMob News in 2025 that she was “completely behind it.” She particularly praised Kerry Washington’s involvement and the focus on women of color, saying it was “exactly what’s needed.”

The 63-year-old added. “So, it’s going to be a great ride.”

Although the original creator, Marc, isn’t working on the new spinoff, Felicity is hoping it captures the same special quality and charm as the first series, which also featured Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, and Nicollette Sheridan.

Felicity explained that Marc had a unique and recognizable style, which connected with audiences. She emphasized that the strong friendships between the women in his stories were particularly important.

Kim thought for a moment and then said, ‘Honestly, I’d probably eat something awful if someone promised it would make me look younger – even if it meant eating a bowl of poop every day.’

Asked how much she could eat, she replied, “Perhaps just a bite.” She added that a full bowl would likely be too much for her.

During an April 2025 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the singer of “Save Me” shared a particularly embarrassing story, and he didn’t hesitate to tell all the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

Okay, so look, I’ve been following Jason DeFord – I mean, Jelly Roll – for years, and honestly, I don’t think he ever meant for things to get this intense.
