Florida Georgia Line Reunites at CMA Fest After Years-Long Hiatus

This news will make you want to roll your windows down and cruise.

As a huge Florida Georgia Line fan, I was absolutely thrilled to see Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard back on stage together! It had been a while since they announced they were taking a break to do their own things, but they reunited for the first time at the opening night of CMA Fest 2026 – it was an amazing moment!

As a lifestyle expert, I have to say, the Florida Georgia Line concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville was a real moment! It was so cool to see them make their entrance – Michael Buffer announced them, and instead of just walking onstage, they surprised everyone by coming through the crowd! They were high-fiving fans and even singing a bit of their song ‘Round Here’ as they made their way to the stage, building the energy before launching into ‘Cruise’ together. It was a fantastic way to connect with their fans and really get the crowd hyped up!

“It’s amazing to be here with my brother,” Hubbard shared during their unexpected performance. “We want to share three things tonight: God is good, life is short, and most importantly… we’re back!”

Before appearing at CMA Fest, Florida Georgia Line hadn’t performed together since August 2022. They had hinted at a comeback on Instagram by changing their profile picture to “FGL LFG.”

Okay, so you will NOT believe this! My absolute favorites just put a phone number on a billboard in Nashville, can you even?! I HAD to text it, of course, and I got this message back: ‘Turns out, some things are just better together. Much more to come.’ Seriously, I’m losing it! What does it mean?! I’m checking my phone every five seconds now, hoping for more! It’s like they’re speaking directly to us fans, and it’s the best feeling ever!

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley performed together as Florida Georgia Line for ten years before announcing a hiatus more than four years ago.

In 2022, Kelley clarified to People magazine that the duo wasn’t splitting up, but rather taking a pause from recording together. They’re both focusing on their individual creativity and exploring new songwriting collaborations. A couple of years prior, they had begun writing music separately and working with different writers, and they’re continuing that approach now.

Hubbard agreed with what his bandmate had said, adding that they still had twelve shows left to perform before they could finally start their break.

He clarified they’re ‘taking a break’ rather than splitting up. He explained that their final 12 shows are a way to appreciate their time as Florida Georgia Line, their fans, and each other, before they each pursue their own individual music and creative projects. He said they’re looking forward to what’s next for them individually, and are excited about the future.

Florida Georgia Line has definitely left its mark on country music. Continue reading to see more celebrity sightings from CMA Fest 2026…
