FKA Twigs has got to feel good with this look.
The singer of “Love Crimes” surprised everyone at the 2026 Grammys with a new look – she traded her usual long, dark hair for bright red locks. The event took place on February 1st at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Twigs arrived in a unique beige gown designed by Paolo Carzana, which paired well with her edgy, half-up, half-down hairstyle. She told Keltie Knight from TopMob: Live From the Grammys that her outfit was a tribute to her album, Eusexua. (Check out more red carpet looks here.)
At 38, she’s off to a great start at the Grammys! She already won Best Dance/Electronic Album at the pre-show ceremony before the main broadcast.
She admitted she hadn’t thought she’d win, accepting the golden gramophone with surprise. ‘Just being nominated was amazing, especially in such a strong category,’ she said.
Before stepping off the stage, Twigs shared endearing advice for any struggling creatives.
People might not know me yet, but I’ve been dedicated to this for years. And honestly, that’s why I want to tell any artist out there: please, don’t ever give up on your dreams. Truly follow what you believe in, be yourself, and create what feels right. That’s what will genuinely connect with people and make them fall in love with your work.
For the artist behind the song “Sushi,” it also means embracing whatever inspires her personal style.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m a huge believer in using your look to express who you are, and I’ve definitely been on that journey myself! I experimented with blonde dreadlocks for a while, but honestly, it didn’t feel like me. I felt a little ungrounded, so I decided to go back to a darker shade. It’s all about finding what truly resonates with your inner self, and for me, this feels much more authentic.

As she explained of her decision, “You just have to do it for yourself.”
Thanks to the support around her, she’s always down to push the envelope with her style.
Over the past five to ten years in this industry, people have praised not only my style and how I present myself, including my hair, but also my skin colour. It’s something I’ve been recognized for on both fronts.
